Yamaha YST-SW216 10" 100W Front-Firing Subwoofer

We purchased this to complete an older home theatre system with a new reciever. I didn't have a lot of funds to work with and it limited my choices. The reviews on this speaker wre mostly positive and proved true. It has grat lows and completes the theatre expierence for our home.

I bought this subwoofer with a sound system. It is a great subwoofer. Nothing like having my parents coming down stairs to my theater and telling me that my bass is making the glass rumble up stairs. The bass is not even half way turned up when they tell me so it is really good.

I'm using as mixing, and monitor set up for a home recording studio. Has great sound, plenty of bass, I'd buy it again for sure.

Nice sub for the money. My old JVC from 2005 worked great for music but with a movie it couldn't keep up and overheated. I now use it in the shop for just music.This Yamaha was great for our first movie night. A sub woofers demand during a move doesn't get much down time.

This sub woofer has great base sound and adds great depth to my current surround system.

Nice speaker - better than the one that point down - very good bass output and the price is right.

Not a very impressive subwoofer but it is adequate for adding low end acoustics to a moderately priced system. This unit is better suited to home theater applications rather than musical reproduction. It's muddy and lacks definition.

This is used primarily for home theater and replaced an older theater in a box passive subwoofer. So far, so good!

I ADDED THIS SUB TO MY YAS-101 AND IT SOUNDS AWESOME.

Got this to replace the one that came with my Yamaha 5.1 system... which rattled terribly due to the plastic grill on the front (shame on Yamaha for bad design). Work GREAT! No more rattle, and VERY deep bass quality!
