Everything about this system is cheap. The remote looks like a child's toy, the speakers are light weight and their sound is substandard. I've had great success with past Yamaha products but this is not one of them. Save your money and invest in a proper system with good quality speakers.
I bought this to replace a 20 year-old RCA system. Easy hook up, awesome sound, great remote control. Have yet to find a problem. I like that you can custom name the inputs and the name appears in the display. (Didn’t have that option in the old system!
This is my third Yamaha Receiver + Speakers and it is amazing. The surround is flawless, and the speakers have impressive sound. And the value (low price) is a major plus. Do not doubt to buy it if you want a good priced full Home Theatre system for home!
These speakers are amazing for surround sound, we can hear every foot step in the show and can mount the speakers. It creates a theater like experience
Not back for the price
For a new system, I was expecting the typical DTS variants, DOLBY whatever etc, but Yamaha doesn't have this. It has NEO 6, which processes in a similar way. I believe it's less accurate, but it does sound good where it should.
