The WD My Passport Wireless Pro builds on the success of its predecessor and adds features, functions, and yes, a little weight, but it's worth the trade-off in our opinion. The WD My Passport Wireless Pro offers simple, automatic backups while on the road and the ability to add multiple terabytes...

A Bit Heavy, Poor Documentation
According to reviews, the WD My Passport Wireless Pro is the top choice among wireless external hard drives. It's versatile, too, able to act as a personal hot spot that can share an Internet connection with up to eight devices, and as a media streamer, wirelessly delivering stored movies, music and...

RAW photo files can't be viewed as thumbnails, Some complaints of glitches
With the portability, capacity options, and integrated software the My Passport Wireless Pro has, there aren’t many other drives out there that directly compete with it. The Seagate Wireless Plus comes to mind, but it’s been in competition with the original My Passport Wireless and could probably...

Occasional disconnects during streaming, streaming can lag if more than three or four devices are connected at once, getting it to work well with Plex takes quite a bit of effort and know-how, My Cloud app could use more file organization options, not rugged
If you are looking for some professional grade extra storage then the WD My Passport Wireless Pro is a great option.
An able performer that suits those who need to transfer files quickly, such as photographers out on a shoot. It’s ability to use 5GHz band wireless also eliminates the need for cables, yet can deliver the speeds that large files require.

Speed limited by hardware
The Western Digital My Passport Wireless Pro 2TB is a wireless external hard drive loaded with features that makes it a great travel companion for enthusiast and professional photographers alike.
WD's My Passport Wireless Pro is one of the most feature rich storage devices I have seen in a very long time, but it certainly comes at a price.
The Western Digital My Passport Wireless Pro is an impressive little device. It can vacuum up photos and videos from your SD cards and phones while on the go and even charge mobile devices while doing so.
Western Digital's Pro drive is a much better proposition than the vanilla My Passport Wireless. Yes, it is more expensive than its predecessor, but it is a better product on almost all counts.

USB Type-C port would have been nice, Price will put some people off
We had only two real complaints about WD’s original My Passport Wireless media-streaming Wi-Fi hard drive: short-ish battery life, and an inability to charge other devices. WD has remedied both shortcomings with the all-new My Passport Wireless Pro.
I am mainly interested in downloading RAW files for storage while on trips. I wanted the ability to backup my pictures without a laptop, using only an iPhone or iPad. So far I have simply put in an SD card, with both JPEGs and RAW files, and downloaded the photos.
I own the 1st release of this excellent product and it is still fully operation. The 2nd release, this product, is just one step up the ladder of excellency from Western Digital. I would highly recommend WD My Passport Wireless Pro to anyone wanting digital camera memory storage / backup while on...

None that I've found
I bought this as a memory card backup device for a trip to the Galapagos. It worked fine at home. But when I got to Ecuador, the Wireless Pro stopped any detectable wireless communication. I tried backing up my SD cards, but could not see if they had been copied to the hard drive.
I usually does not write reviews, but, I am sad that I didnt pay attentin to all issues related to this drive. Please do yourself a favor and Google for: Wd wireless passport pro all lights flashing. Lots of pages and no solution.DO NOT BUY IT. You will regret.
I have only tested the WD My Passport drive for now. And it seems seamless to use with the Ap. I bought the drive to travel with which will be the real test! I can comment more after that experience.I will be using it to store video shot on my camera, drone, and phone.
