Warranty could be longer
The two WD 8TB Red drives are stellar. Great speed and lots of space.A warning on the enclosure. For whatever reason, the WD bios for the enclosure encrypts the drives as default with no way to turn that function off.
Transfer rates using TeraCopy Pro 3.0 Alpha 5 from one Hard drive to the WD 12TB DUO maxes at 10MB/s, yes folks.. 10 megabytes per second. Now in RAID 0 it might be much faster, but then again, RAID 0 is NOT RAID at all.

Transfer rates to the DUO while in RAID 1 is dismal
I purchased this as a gift for someone who needed plenty of storage. They have a WD external drive and are very satisfied with it. They liked the ease with which they could backup with the installed WD software. WD uses a version of Acronis True Image, the software that I use. It is great software.
Overall a great drive.

Very good drive. I've been able to consolidate 4 drives into one central location without out much fuss. Great USB 3 drive.

Case feels a little cheap, flimsy. Price point might be too high for many.
Such a sigh of relief that my data, mainly photographs, will be backed up with this simple to use device.
