Gave me no warnings at all. Just today I was using my laptop and got the spinning wheel of death. Tried to repair disk, nope. I was able to get some files off of it. Tried to reformat it, nope. No go.

Lasted almost a full year in my macbook pro. Worked fine up till today.

Failed after almost a year. With no warning, it sounds fine but can't do anything with it.
The drive functions just fine, but the Acronis software for cloning on WD's website is confusing and touchy. I ended up have to buy the full version to get it to work, and used a hardware configuration that was not recommended, but finally successful, to clone my old drive to the new, blank HDD.
Im happy with the drive, 90 percent of the time no issues, but some days the latency and freezing/ bluescreens are all to real.

These drives are loaded with space, and are pretty quiet, atleast in my opinion, the laptop fans are louder than the drives. Plenty of space and good spool up and search/ write times.

Not sure if its my drive or some other issue but going from a single drive to raid 0 on my system (both these drives) i started getting huge dpc latency and lag spikes during games that would freeze and crash my computer. which only started after installing a new drive.
Great drive, its my second purchase and both are excellent. One note, the software Acronis WD Edition, which is available for download with this purchase has a bug which may not allow the clone of a disk in some systems It strangely reports the software cannot be used on a RAID system, when no RAID...
I definitely would recommend this hard drive to anyone.

Ready to install. After being installed since 11/26/2015 and still works like new! Great guarantee too.

Some background, I work in an IT department for an aerospace firm in southern California. Our device environment consists of a mixture of older and newer laptops and desktops. There is the occasional need to replace hard drives due to age and declining performance.
For home use on a NAS, work great with ZFS and Linux Mint in RAIDZ with a 6 drive 2.5" enclosure.

I replaced my Dell notebook drive with this one (750GB) over two years ago. It runs almost 24 hours a day, and when it's not running it's in my backpack getting knocked around or falling off the seat of my truck. No problems. Five stars. I'm waiting for the next big size jump so I can buy that one.
This drive is just what I needed for my computer, holds what I need and is exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted to pay.

I am 100% happy about this drive, small and does what it is suppose to with a very easy install.

None at all
To start, I'll just give a short pros and cons list to help those who don't want to read a long review: Pros: -respectable speed -good reliability Cons: None There isn't much to say about this drive. I've used many WD drives in the past and they have yet to fail me.
