super fast, and I'm super happy, works like a champ

i could use about 4 more of these :)
I got 2 of these to make a RAID 0 stripe setup. The performance of them in tandem is about the same as a low-end SSD, which is very impressive for HDDs! You can't go wrong with Western Digital's history of reliability and performance!

_Stores up to 3.75 tb

-
- If you have a ssd dont fresh install with this drive selected, you will have to clean the drive and convert to gpt to use more then 2 tb
Purchased this hard drive 8/22/17; it lasted less than a year. WD hard drives (Black Edition) used to be the hard drives to get because of their dependability and performance. Apparently it is not the case anymore. I guess WD wants us to switch to their more expensive SSD lineup.

I've been running 2 in a raid zero config for a couple of months. So far so good.

A previous WD drive went bad within weeks.
Western Digital is my brand; Seagate's drives (especially the 3 TB) are notorious for failing and I'll never buy another of those. This drive is very fast with big capacity. Wish I had several more!
Has worked flawlessly for 6+ months. Only complaint and why I took 1 star is due to the very subtle click/ticking sound it makes about every 5 seconds. It has passed the extended drive test, and has worked without a problem.
I already have an identical one in this same computer (a hot-rodded 2009 MacPro with dual 6-core 3.42GHz processors, Nvidia GTX980Ti graphics, 48GB RAM, SSD PCIe card for the boot drive). Very good performance both as a storage drive and boot drive.
What can I say here? I ordered pretty much everything at once for my PC and somehow forgot I ordered this part. I'm currently uploading a new picture of my gaming rig and was going through my parts to list and missed that I ordered this... sooooo that sucks. I payed for it but it never came.
This drive makes a clunking noise every 5 seconds. From what I've read it's normal and supposed to prevent wear, but it's loud and happens EVERY FIVE SECONDS. I needed it for a project so I didn't return it, but I wish I had; it's insanely annoying.
