You can carry a lot of data with the new My Passport and the many color options open up new organizational possibilities.
The new WD My Passport portable drive has lots of storage space, good performance and supports strong encryption. It's available in some vivid color options and comes in an eye-catching design.
There's no USB-C (so no future-proofing) and the high-capacity versions of the drive are bulky.
Bought this in May 2017. Fast forward to September 2017 and it's completely dead. Lights up, but no PCs read it, not even on the disk management menu. I've tried buying a new cord; nothing. I tried plugging it into several other USB drives; nothing.
Works great and has enough room for all my needs. It's mall and compact making it easy to transport when needed. No complaints here.
Sometimes we seem to be a bit picky, but if it's our money, why not?! I wanted a RED external hard drive, 2TB, but couldn't find it anywhere else, had to wait for it to come in if I wanted red, EXCEPT for here, where Microcenter had a GREAT selection. And the price was better!! Why go anywhere else?
Good unit, surprised that only "current" OS supported. Windows 7, 10 I needed to back up an XP system and it wouldn't work. Contacted WD for product support and they helped, but Plug and Play is always better.
Is smaller and feels more solid than I was expecting.Works great like all WD Drives I've used.
rather thick compared to the other drives out there
my friend loved it
compact, colorful with good capacity
This portable western digital drive is Great, bravo western digital!
Have written a complaint. terrible quality, I'm potentially going to lose all my work due to it not connecting. Connection got slower and slower and slower and now i altogether can't get it to connect. It shows power to it with light on, and the fan noise. But doesn't show up on my mac anymore.
