The Vanguard TBH-100 is a recent ball head from the TBH Series of Vanguard’s line-up. As with most Vanguard products that I have used, it is a rugged and heavy duty piece of gear.
While this ball head's overall quality seems quite good upon inspection, I am having to return it because the main bubble level is off. If I receive a replacement unit without any defects I will update this review accordingly.
I purchased this ballhead in combination with the Alta 263at tripod a year ago. A few weeks ago the center column got locked. I contacted vanguard and they gave me some directions that helped but the piece hat holds the column was spoiled.
These tripod heads appear to offer good quality on initial inspection. However the company's quality control is atrocious. I ordered three of these and every single one had a defective bubble level that was not properly aligned with the head, rendering it useless.
Let's see if the replacement is any better...
The Vanguard TBH-100 ballhead is an excellent ball head. I have two of them for my tripod and monopod. Easy to retension and rotate into position.
Nice Ball Head for Acutus Plus 324AT Tripod. Easy to use, has good locking mechanism. Adds the right amount of height for good video and camera use.
