I use the tripod for taking photographs of woodwork, both demonstrations and details. This tripod creates a rock steady platform to reduce vibration. It takes a little getting used to the adjusting levers - and that nothing moves when it is locked down!
I purchased this Vanguard Alta Pro 263ap tripod with the PH-32 pan head because it had all the features I was looking for. I've used it with my Nikon D750 and D7100 cameras for landscape and astrophotography. Very sturdy tripod, great quality, easy to use, and is ideal for a variety of situations.
Weight, weighs a little more then a standard tri-pod, but with weight you get better stability as well. Have used this tripod for both video and photo applications with out any issues.

Everything to do with it... There are 2 bubble level's on the panhead that allows you to get the mount perfectly level no matter what you have it set up on.

None that I have incountered
This is the first quality tripod I've purchased. So far, it works as advertised. I'm using a Canon EOS Rebel T1i w/ this tripod and it holds the camera with zoom lens securely. Can be converted to macro photography easily, and Vertical and horizontal positioning is relatively smooth.

Durable, Great Features, Simple Controls
Very sturdy and versatile tripod. Very solid feeling. Bad side is the handle is way too big for tripod case. You need to take out handle for storage. Price was very good and tripod itself is very solid. The weight is over 6lbs there is no way I can carry this for hiking.
Very high quality feel, big and sturdy perfect for landscape photography.
Really impressed by the versatility. Build quality seems solid.
Excellent piece of equipment.
perfect for s dslr with a very reasonable price.
