Im a Think Tank fan. I use their belt system and several bags from the Speed series. Which bag and/or configuration depends on what kit Im carrying and for what application.Any bag with a shoulder strap only containing a full sized camera and lens will put you off balance and hurt your neck.
I have different bags for different needs. When I'm traveling via airlines I like to travel as light as possible. However, I needed a bag to suit my needs for those long days of photographing and could accommodate other daily needs. This bag fits all of my needs for that 12+ hour day of photography.
I couldn't be happier with my Retro 7. It's compact size is perfect; it allows you to take a well-rounded kit, yet prevents you from overloading the bag. For reference, I can comfortably fit a 5DIII, Sigma ART 35 1.4 and 50 1.4, and a Canon 85 1.8, with room to spare.
Exactly what I have been looking for over the years! After purchasing over 10 bags finally I found the one that works for me 100%! I read about some complaints about the shoulder strap being too short. Well, they must have changed that.
I like how compact this bag is if I want a lighter load. I use this bag if I just need to take a small setup of either Canon EOS R with 24-105 lens + Canon 35mm f1.4 + Canon G7X point n shoot + accessories. It can fit more things in it but Id use other bags if I wanted to bring more out.
I wear a women's BlackRapid strap cross-body on one side and I wear my camera bag cross-body on the other side. I use this little bag to throw in 2 extra lenses and several other goodies like wallet, cell, extra battery, extra SD card, business cards, lipstick, small mirror, etc,,, and there is...
This bag is just right for my traveling needs. I can fit in a Nikon D800 with a Tamron 20-70 2.8 lens attached, a Tamron70-200 2.8 lens (I put some extra included padding under both lens ), a sling folded up, various filters, an extra battery with a duel battery charger and cord, the included rain...
There isn't a perfect bag, but this one is close to perfection. I have multiple bags, each one for a different purpose, but the Retrospective 20 has definitely replaced most of them.
On a long international trip, a photog friend of mine had this bag to carry his micro 4/3 camera kit and highly recommended it. This bag is very well made and a pleasure to use. I use it for day outings to perfectly hold a Fuji X-T2 and with Fuji trinity lens kit (XF 10-24, 16-55, 50-140) or some...
I use this bag to carry my lens assortment: this includes (all AF-D Nikkors except the last...) a 20, 35, 35-105 (non-D), 50, 200micro and a promaster 100-400. The camera these go on (varies, sometimes an F4, more often a D610) is shoulder carried, not in the bag.
