Think Tank Photo Retrospective 30 Shoulder Bag (Gray with Brown Leather)

The Think Tank Photo Retrospective line of camera bags are one of the newest series in their lineup. It’s also one of the few bags that you can get in something other than black. While I am certainly partial to black camera bags, I absolutely love the new Pinestone color on these Retrospective bags.

Waited until a long trip to do this review. The bag is very comfortable to carry, full of equipment, for shorter periods of time. (The shoulder strap started to wear me down when I used for four hours straight one day.) Material is attractive and appears to be very durable.

I would recommend it. It holds a lot of large camera gear. The color is a nice change from black bags.

I am not 100% sold on it as the lenses seem to want to bunch up in the middle of the bag, but that sort itself out. I am used to a fanny pack where everything was in a clearly defined space.We will see but it sure is not geeky like fanny pack system.

I own a smaller Retrospective bag but needed a bag that would handle two cameras. When I photograph an event I generally use two cameras and needed a bag to accomplish it. The Retrospective 30 allows me to carry two Dslr's with lenses attached and one or two other lenses.

This bag is great for the outfit that I carried on a long trip: Nikon D4 & 3 prime lenses and Leica MP with 3 prime lenses. There was room to spare for batteries, film, filters, notebooks etc. Like all of the Think Tank bags that I've owned over the years, it is well built and well thought out.

No possibility to stick dividers lengthwise. Can do width but no Velcro grip on the length. Would have liked a small zipped or closed pocket to prevent smaller items to shift around.Extremely well built.

I love, love, love this bag. I love the way it looks, the way it feels and I love how functional it is. It is just the right depth for me to access my equipment. The well-spoken of shoulder strap is superb. I was afraid it would be too big, but it is not at all. It is the just right bag.
