The DR-22WL is a little different from what I'm used to. A bit more features, which is a good thing than my standard recorders (I use the DR-05). I like the input knob at the bottom of the unit for faster adjustments than a button.
Would recommend to all levels of media producers. My only gripes: Peaks easily, but this is probably end user error. I wish that it had a rechargeable battery pack instead of batteries.
I like my tascam recorder. I bought it to record auditions to go with my DSLR. The sound is good. Wifi functionality ensures that you don't have to mess around with wires. Easy functionality. The sound quality could be a little better. But, good value for the money.
Excellent recorder, easy to record, many different options, perfect for interviews, video recording, YouTube and etc, works well when I'm recording video, at least 20 times better then build in mic on camera. Light weight, I would recommend this recorder for everybody.
This unit is so much easier to use than the previous Tascam DR-05 No need to search through menus just a very easy to use unit that has given me wonderful results.
Everything came as expected and works great!
I bought this specifically for recording and capturing audio on the fly and getting it into my computer and/or online as fast as possible. To a certain degree it does that. WiFi is less than ideal, because if you are on a computer you needed to jump between your main wifi and the tascam's wifi.
Does the trick for band practice. However, it is pretty finicky - you can't just put it on the loud setting and expect this to not clip. Kinda sucks when you are trying to record your own live show, because you got one shot to guess before you start playing. The sound quality is pretty good.
The speaker is not a speaker, the app is almost useless. I will return this item.
Ordered this for my mom. The DR-22WL 2-channel recorder is an excellent personal recorder for musicians and also for interviewers. It has many of the features which you can find in other high end recorders.
