Tamron has a lot of experience in making superzoom lenses, and the 14-150mm f/3.5-5.8 Di III is a good example of the genre. It’s compact, nicely made and autofocuses well. As usual for this kind of optic it’s something of a compromise, with perfectly decent image quality at wider settings, but...

This 10.7x zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds system cameras, sports a compact, lightweight design and is available in black or silver finishes. The angle of view covered by this lens is roughly equivalent to a 28-300mm lens used on a 35mm format camera and the lens costs around £390.

Micro Four Thirds users have a large selection of lenses at their disposal, given that they can use both Panasonic and Olympus glass. But the Tamron 14-150mm f/3.5-5.8 is a great alternative.

The Tamron 14-150mm f/3.5-5.8 Di III is a love it or loathe it kind of lens for Micro Four Thirds shooters. On the one hand, when scrutinising images at 100% magnification, there some quite obvious issues with the image quality.

If you own an Olympus Micro Four Thirds camera, which includes sensor-shift image stabilisation, then there isn’t a better value superzoom available for your camera. This is especially true as this lens delivers decent sharpness, despite it's 10.7x zoom range.

Over the years I have tried several long range zoom lenses. Most have been little used due to the problems with such lenses. This one appears to be an exception. I have had it on my OM-D E-M5 most of the time for the past week. The lens focuses quickly and accurately.

The Tamron 14-150 zoom is very useful to me when I am walking around, travelling, etc. as I can adjust my view from wide angle to telepoto without having to change lenses. The lens itself is very convenient to use.

Haven't had as much use of this lens yet to write a full review. I really like the range (14-150mm) as it allows me to have one lens that I take out with me as opposed to several lenses.

The lens has very good build quaily and smooth zooming action. It mounts to my Olympus OMD EM1 very firmly and looks very good on the EM1. Optically it is a good but not great performer. Some softness can be seen in the corners and it is not quite as sharp at the long end.

I picked up this lense recently for its range and had no idea how light it was until I attached it to my omde5. I had tamrons before and was always happy. This is a fun light all around walk about lens for daytime.
