Tcl Alto 5+ 2.1-Channel Soundbar System

Sub-par for mixed usage. The TCL Alto 5+ has a very bass-heavy and dark sounding audio reproduction. This won’t be ideal for dialogue-oriented content and most music genres. However, it can be a decent option for bass-heavy music and for action movies with lots of bass.

Sound bar seems to work ok. Subwoofer doesn't have the boom I expected & no way to adjust it. Also, the thing flutters when the tv is off. Nothing like being woken up in the middle of the night with a subwoofer loudly fluttering for no reason! I keep the damn thing unplugged most of the time.

Since its made to work with TCL tv's you would think it would do so without interfering with the tv remote sensor. Worse yet, is nowhere in the literature for either device does it show you exactly where the sensor is on the tv so using the pass-through that comes with the sound bar is hit or miss...

Remote is very strange I hateIt, but most sound bars have horrible remotes, on the other hand the sound I’m amazed especially for the price and the brand I didn’t know much about, but I’m pleasantly surprised. Minimal cords because the subwoofer is blue tooth was also amazing.

This soundbar was easy to set up with the new 65" TCL Roku television. I bought them as a combo. I was very surprised at the quality of sound the unit produced. Even the kids were blown away. Very good for the price. Definitely would have paid a lot more with similar quality on another brand.

Sounds nice the one I got has the sub woofer. And it’s plenty enough loud to shake my house. For the people that gave it s bad review. Somehow your not doing something right. Use the optical connections if you have it. My Tcl tv remote controls the volume Super easy to get working

Excellent sound and simple setup- cordless sub-woofer works flawlessly. Only complaint is that it is advertised to work with the TCL TV remote- it doesn't with mine. Good product for far less than most of the comparable systems.

I have a 55-inch TCL TV in my bedroom and wanted to upgrade the sound out of the TV set. The TCL Alto 5+ 2.1 channel soundbar and subwoofer more than did that. I get a rich sound with a decent amount of bass from the system.

Nice soundbar with thumping bass from the subwoofer. It has plenty of volume and power for our use. The sound is full-bodied but would like to have a bit crisper higher sound to make voices easier to understand. The remote is pretty flimsy and small. I am concerned it will get broken or lost easily.

Bought this to work with my TCL 43S517 television, as the soundbar manual says it works out of the box with the TV remote. It did not. After talking with customer support for close to 30 minutes, they determined I had an "enhanced" TV remote that would not work.

Sub-Woffer could not be install without having wireless speaker installed, first! This was being required by their setup software on the tv. We have ordered wireless speaker, now. Hopefully we will not have too get the upgraded Sub-Woffer, also. Not very happy about this problem. Mr. Moran
