Product Description
The Taylor 320 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar is an affordable model with a dark-looking combination of tonewoods. It has a bluesy mix of tropical mahogany for the top and sapele for the back & sides, all in a nice satin finish. It's full-size with a scale length of 25-1/2" with a nut width of 1--3/4". It's ready for any style of playing, from strumming to fingerpicking to soloing. Includes hardshell case.Dreadnought (DN)Body Width: 16" / Body Depth: 4 5/8" / Body Length: 20"The potent tone flatpickers and strummers love. The most traditional of guitar shapes, Bob Taylor has evolved the Taylor Dreadnought over time to honor its enduring sonic heritage yet also refine the look and sound into a more modern package. The Taylor Dreadnought still boasts that powerful dreadnought tone that old school pickers expect, with deep lows and crisp highs, but with a voice that, like every Taylor, is more evenly balanced across the entire tonal spectrum. Perhaps more than any other shape, the Dreadnought remains linked with roots music like bluegrass and folk, in part because of its traditional role in defining those sounds. Pickers and strummers with an aggressive attack will love our Dreadnought’s blend of power and articulation, which allows for clear lead lines and crisp, driving rhythms.SapeleOrigin: West AfricaAn alternative tonewood that joined the Taylor fold over a decade ago. It’s sometimes mistakenly referred to as African mahogany because it closely resembles the West African wood khaya, which is commercially known as African mahogany. Sapele is a highly sustainable, relatively fast-growing wood. Tonally, it does everything that mahogany does, with a little extra treble zing. We’ll be able to offer it for a long, long time.Goes Well With: Everything. Like ovangkol, it’s a great all-purpose tonewood that will deliver a consistent, balanced tone in a variety of playing applications, from fingerstyle to strumming.
