SAL-20TC 2x AF Teleconverter - for Select Sony & Maxxum AF SSM & APO Lenses

This was a great teleconverter, however it didn't fit on my existing lenses. This gave me the choice to buy all new lenses to fit the teleconverter or find a teleconverter that will fit my lenses. It will be cheaper to find a new teleconverter.

Does the job like any extender. Loses some resolution so one needs to concentrate on the center two-thirds of the frame.

the converter allowed me to photographed tall ships in the bay with close ups. I would not have been able to get as close as I did. I held off for a long time, sorry I did

The teleconverter works great. My photos are as sharp connected to the 70-200 G lens as without it. There is no degradation in quality in my experience. This adds a great option to my kit! I have no reservations recommending it.

Waited a long time to save up enough money to purchase this item. Sent it back because it does ot work on all Sony lenses only those that are fixed lens'.and not auto focus lens.

I have a Sony a7rii and Sony 500mm f/4 SSM G + LAEA3 adapter that work great together. However, I just added this Sony 2x Teleconverter. I can take really sharp pictures with the 2x combo (manual focus as expected), but the aperture information is not being reported to the camera.

I nice peace of quality equipment it just did not fit my lenses. It was returned with no problems and full refund.

I think it works fine. I am a bit disappointed by the major change to the f stop when using this converter, however, it does give me the ability to change my 300mm to 600mm. For this I am very happy.

This and the sister teleconverter SAL-1.4TC will only work on two lenses in the Sony line. The trick is that it will fit the camera, but the lenses won't fit on the converter. The only two(2) lenses that will fit are the SAL70200G and SAL300F28G.
