I bought this tv as soon as it came out as last year's model (KDL55W900A) was getting great reviews, so I figured I'd pick up the latest and greatest from Sony. The trouble is, they completely switched up the panel for 2014 and unfortunately it took a turn for the worse.
All in all, it certainly is a nice TV so far. Haven't really tested the 3D features of this, nor did I get much into using the apps or the "flick" remote yet, I shall certainly give that a lot of thought.

HUGE!!! Great picture, with a firmware upgrade, the black levels were significantly improved. Integrates well with a HT-XT1 Soundbar that I also bought along with this, and it does seem to connect well with the wi-fi apps, and software updates. Built-in speakers were nice on this.

Well, it's not a 4K UHDTV like the XBR lineup is, but hardly anything's released in that format, anyway. Also, before the firmware update, I could notice that the black levels were a bit on the bright side. It was pricey, but that's what you expect with anything with Sony in the name.
