As one of the other previous reviewers said, a major annoyance of this flash is that theres not enough resistance in the rotation of the head of the flash so if you run the MagMod system (especially with the dome) it just flops around due to the weight of the system.
They made some great improvements with this version of the Sony Flash. The biggest thing is the host shoe actually seems to be built sturdier. I will only know over time but it 100% appears to be built to hold the weight of the flash better.
Im dropping a star because now that Im trying to use these for off camera flash and have discovered that only ONE command unit can trigger them at a time, its a HUGE draw back for wedding photography. You also have to REPAIR the flashes any time you switch commanders, it has no memory.
I received mine last week and found it very easy to use and create great shots. As a canon converter this was easy!
Impressive, very easy to use. I have never used a flash before. It has the autozoom system to prevent errors without the distance and the three LEDs to provide brightness and illumination.
This flash is great and plays very nice with the new Sony cameras. The only drawback is really that with the Sony wireless system you can only have one commander unit. So, if you are an event photographer this poses issues. Too bad Sony couldn't do what Godox has managed to do for 1/3 of the cost.
Feel like I am buying a $99 no brand name flash. So light, look and feel so cheap.
