I have been using Nikon Speedlights for 20 years and expected that this unit would work similarly on my Sony A7II. With Nikon, you get a good TTL exposure using any program mode except Manual; with the Sony, it works properly only when the program mode is set to Auto.
This flash working well with the Sony A7Rii camera. I used it as the regular on-camera flash, as the commander and as the slave flash with the Sony commander and with the other Sony flash and Sony reciever. No any issues in all modes.
It's smaller, lighter than theSony HVL-F43M, and AF Illuminator works perfectly in "S" focus mode with my a7riii, not older model like a7rii. I think it should work with a7iii and a9. Hope this help.
Great speedlight. Bought two. Wireless function is perfect. Easy set up. Control everything from a controller or use one flash as a controller. Probably going to be durable but will see...
Very nice flash; light (but could be a bit smaller). I use it with A7R2 + 35/1.4 and 85/1.4. Communicates with camera well.
Very well built, but not sure about the real GN.When side-by-side compared withmy tiny Neewer NW320 (GN=32), the output was about 1.5 stop weaker. Returned.
love it would buy it again great flash
It covers my expectations
I use this flash mainly for fill light
Obviously the wireless feature is a very welcomed addition for the Sony flash lineup. This is a great product when I am shooting portraits.
