Top quality 4K video from an action camera thanks to the EXMOR sensor and BIONZ processor, Optical SteadyShot leads the way in providing you with smooth video, Built-in GPS allows the camera to collect a ton of data about your adventure, WiFi lets you connect the Live View Monitor, Three pre-set...

Only wide-angle shooting for 4K video, Images provide more noise and less detail than a smartphone image, No built-in screen to assist you in composing
The Sony FDR-X3000R Action Cam, to us, beats the latest GoPro in a few ways. For one, Sony’s OIS is such a pleasure to have on a sports camera like this. It is indeed better than the Hero5 Black’s image stabilization and that will really be the case since OIS is a physical mechanism for producing...

Great image stabilization (OIS), Stereo audio recording, Minimal delay in live preview via Bluetooth, Decent battery life, Wearable live preview makes operation a lot easier, Option to zoom in and out, Good low light performance

Limited accessories in the bundle, Dropped frames during playback over Wi-Fi, Wind reduction is not that effective, Connecting the camera to a smartphone is a hit and miss, Picture quality needs more detail
Falling from the skies, biking down mountains, climbing up walls of sheer rock and rafting through the dangerous river rapids, are just a few extreme things people love to do. Once you pluck the courage to try these extreme sports, wouldn’t it be a drab if you couldn’t record what could be a once in...

Poor display on the Live-View Remote Control, Slow to power on (when using the Remote Control), Bulky waterproof case
I am super picky about image quality. I come from a goPro hero 3+,4 and 5. I own/owned 70d,80d,a5100,a6000,a7s. Read my other review on the GoPro 5 to see how I feel about it.This camera has totally replaced my need to carry a bigger camera to capture quality video footage.
I purchased the camera and used it for about 3 weeks and the problems started. The camera shuts off randomly (not over heated). If the camera stays on (stand by or recording) it gets very hot over 115 degrees (with ambient indoor temps 75 degrees). The camera has a slight out of focus issue, too.

Good images quality
These sony cameras are hands-down better than any other action cam out there. The optical image stabalization makes for gorgeous smooth video. Sony additionally makes the best sensors out there and thus color, contrast and clarity are superb for such a small package.
Love this miniature yet powerful 4K video camera. Perfect for traveling abroad and capturing video footage of those memorable places you may not have the opportunity to see again. Is 4K necessary? In short, yes.
I really like this camera. It is portable and offers a lot of different features like 4k, higher frame rates, waterproof casing. The only thing that I think it lacks is better audio, but it does allow for an external mic so I really can't knock it for that.
I love this thing. Coming from years of using a gopro to film my riding and other sports to this is like making the jump from cheap P&S cameras to a proper dlsr. The real kicker to this camera is the optical image stabilization that makes this thing look like it was on a quality gimbal.
Not as easy to use as my go pro, but better image stabilization
I have used this on my motorcycle, in my car on the windshield, on walks etc. Fun and easy to use. I have checked out most modes and the Sony software. Its a lot of fun! Will be taking it on vacation later this month to document watersports, jungle hikes, and perhaps some binge drinking!
