The Sony a6600 looks an excellent camera for video and vlogging, and its stunning AF, in-body image stabilization and large battery make it suitable for demanding stills photography.

With improved ergonomics, longer battery life, and industry-leading autofocus tech inherited from the Full Frame Sony A9, it’s no wonder that Sony is positioning the A6600 as their flagship crop sensor camera. It’s got the price to match, at US $1,400 for the camera body alone.

So, what do I like about the Sony a6600? The better battery life is excellent; but you always have to have a USB mini cable or a Sony charger with you to keep going. The standard these days is USB-C, and I’m perplexed as to why Sony didn’t update it.

If what you're after is as much power as you can get in a small package, Sony's A6600 is a very tempting offering.

Is Sony's flagship APS-C camera a big enough upgrade to see it match the class-leading Fujifilm X-T3?

A worthy work camera. Smaller, lighter and cheaper then it's FE brothers, this camera gives you great value for your money. Coupled with the new 16-55 f/2.8 G lens and the Sigma Contemporary f/1.4 prime lenses trio (16, 30 and 56mm), you'll have a wide range of artistic choices at your disposal.

I purchased my A6600 for the $1,198 price, bundled with a Sony 64GB SD card and a Billingham medium sized camera bag. I really like the grip - very solid, large, well fit to my hand...it will help when attached to larger lenses.
