Discovered last night that the longer center column of the Sprint Pro II is interchangeable with the shorter center column of the Sprint Mini II. For my preferences, this is a win-win, as the Spring Pro II is already tall enough, so switching out the center column brought the weight down to 2.0 lbs.

Seems sturdy and tripod is easy to manage. Lightweight but seems sturdy. The ballhead is perfectly functional but the design/placement of the knobs is suboptimal, making the head a bit difficult to adjust. Nonetheless, I do recommend this as a good value for the price.

This is the perfect tripod for traveling. Its light so that carrying it on hikes isn't a problem. The ball head and quick release clip allows me to position my camera so that I am able to get the perfect angle for my shot, but I can take the camera off quickly if need be.

This is a great, super lightweight tripod for the money. I have the much larger and heavier (but also great) Slik 700DX Pro legs with a sturdy ball head for "serious" work, but its heft often causes me to leave it at home.

Easy to set up, but the legs are a little unstable, the 3lb camera moved when I pressed the shutter release, and the cork seal in the head became warped.

I bought it for the legs, My son has one, and I ended up upgrading the head on it for him. as well I have a nice vintage Cullman head I am using on these Slik legs, and the combo is light weight, strong, and easy to adjust.

This has been a very nice travel tripod. I drive with it just behind the seat - it is very quick and easy to setup, even on uneven road shoulders. I travel with it and a bean bag that can be set on the car - the bean bag is quicker, but the tripod is nicer.

The Slik Pro II w/ ball head seems to be well built and useful. It's a reasonable size (maybe a little long at 18-19) and weight for travel. The ball head saves some weight and I assume would work well, but I decided to return this for the same tripod with the 3-way pan head.

Never thought that a tripod would make taking pictures so much more enjoyable but lemme tell you...IT HAS!!! It was very light to carry around and it is very sturdy. We planted the legs in rocky sandy areas and it was fine! Love it!!!
