With a distinctly retro look, the Slik Pro 500DX Complete bypasses the 'black is the new black' fashion of most current tripods and proudly displays a set of shiny metal legs, even if the top ones are covered with black comfort padding.
I'm 6'1" and having a tripod that could extend to a sturdy comfortable working height is important to me. Most of my recent work has been landscape photography. So, I mounted my camera and extended the center column to a comfortable shooting level and still had room to extend the center column...
You know you need a trip-pod, this one fits the bill. Sturdy and stable, easy to use. Very happy and would recommend to anyone.
This tripod holds a Nikon D5300 with a 70-300 full-frame lense with no problem at all. It is very sturdy and has many metal parts. You can make the legs so that they go almost straight out, which can be handy. Also the 3-way head works very well.
This is my second unit. It is very sturdy and yet portable. I use it mostly for video. I would recommend it to anyone.
For the money, it is sturdy
Outstanding quality as a reasonable price.
This is a solid tripod for the money. The weight is just right for use in moderate wind conditions, such as near the sea, etc. I work with long exposures and find the tripod to be beneficial gear so far. I wish the tripod had levels but it hasn't been problematic not having them.
great tripod, very stable, well built, perhaps a bit heavy. good relationship between price and quality.it is definitely a very good option
Very sturdy and usable,
This product was recommended to me by my tenant, after using his Pro 34DX I upgraded and bought the Pro 500DX and have been very happy using the product. Highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a solid, durable and easy to use product.
