Solid little tripod. The only thing that I would recommend is in place of the single bubble level that is leveled by changing two leg lengths, get a different head with 2 linear levels that are adjusted with 2 threads on the head. The 2 level head would be more money and may have been worth it.
I bought this because I already own a Sirui monopod, which uses a perfectly compatible ball-mount. I was very impressed with the mechanical precision and fit & finish of this tripod. The leg locks work much more smoothly and effectively than I expected. -Very quick to setup and take down.
I was looking for a lighter tripod than my very good but heavy one so I can carry it out on a trips. This one was small, relatively light but most important very steady compared to other similar products. After a month of usage now, I am very happy with it.
My first sirui tripod & i love it very easy to use
If you are looking for a portable tripod that will fit in your camera bag this is it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the plate that holds the top screw onto the tripod is so large that the legs can not fold down evenly.
This tripod is very light, durable and cheap. We use it as microphones stand in an array of 5.0 sound ambience capture. We love it.
I put this together with a Sirui K-10X ball head. The whole thing weighs less than 3 pounds and collapses to less than 13". Great combination for my D750 and 70mm-300mm zoom.
Great tripod for the money. Easy to use and very sturdy while still being weighing much.
I have not had a chance to use it in the field yet but with the K10 head it seems to be a great match for my OMD E5 even with a long lens
I grabbed one of these to make hiking to shots more comfortable and at the same time safe. It's around a third of the length and weight as my vanguard tripod while also being many many times more versatile. I would get one again.
