I kept hearing that it makes sense to purchase a good tripod but had been using a travel tripod. Just yesterday was my first outing with the new Sirui and I now understand what it is like to have a good tripod. It was wonderful. My camera was rock solid. Wonderful!
Stable light tripod. Locks on legs take only half turn to lock or unlock. Last section of legs has markings which help setting up for leveling or always getting back to my preferred height I have several products from Sirui, including their gimbal head, and find the finish and quality to topnotch.
Very good tripod. Stable and sturdy: I feel comfortable my camera and lens won't fall over from lack of support. Easy to use, open and close. Have had no problems with over opening any of the legs. Light enough to carry. Quality purchase and should last forever.
Pretty solid and lightweight. Still some place for improvement, specially with the head part not being as good finished as the legs.
Very sturdy. Purchased it because I had gone cheap on previous tripods and needed a better tripod. Still trying to get used to the twist lock legs.
I dont usually write reviews, but I wanted to set the record straight with this tripod: it is a quality product. I havent used in the field yet, but I am extremely impressed by the build quality. I have always wondered how a tripod could cost $400, but now I know why.
So far I have gotten some use after purchasing this tripod. I was going to purchase another one, but it never got restocked, so the B folks, said to give this one a go. It is missing a sock on one of the legs. It has tools and hardware and extra parts that come with it.
I've had this tripod for just about 3 months. I've been pleased with the construction, weight, height, sturdiness, etc. until recently. It has seen very little use - meaning with collapsing the legs as it sits in my home studio much of the time. I've used it on location about 5 times.
NIce, sturdy and light tripod for a great price. Although long term durability is unknown to me at this point, it seems just about as well made as the comparable gitzo - except with a longer warranty. Came with a good pack, a sling strap for use without the pack, and a nice set of allen keys.
After doing lots of research like everyone else I decided on this tripod. Why? It has more features and just as good as quality as the really expensive tripods. I am going to use for Family shoots and Landscapes.
