The Sirui EN2004 is light weight, sturdy and compact for travel. All the funcutions operate with ease. Currently I am using a 40 year old tripod that weighs 20lbs and am most satisfied with it.
Use this for macro photography, slow shutter speed special effects (like blurring ocean flowing over rocky outcroppings while taking sunset photos), panoramic landscapes and getting myself into a photo. Like the lever leg adjusters, faster and easier than screw type.
This recommended tripod is a great unit to use. It is light and easily portable.
So far it seems just fine. Base of carrying case could be a bit more sturdy. Rotating mast is a bit awkward.
I'm very pleased with this tripod at this price!I'm using it with a big, heavy 3-way Manfrotto head and Toyo 45AX large format field camera. It gives me a lot of confidence in supporting this setup, including in light wind (haven't been out in strong wind).
These sticks are massive overkill for my Samsung NX500. And massive overkill is exactly what you want when it comes to sticks. Very, very steady. Easy to adjust. Fast, easy, smooth set up with the speed locks. Nice that Sirui got around to offering them.
