Foveon X3 Quattro APS-C sensor ISO 100-6,400 2.36-million-dot EVF £799 body only £999 with 30mm f/1.4 lens Sigma is best known as a leading third-party lens producer, but it also has a long history of selling cameras.

Once again, Sigma has produces an interesting camera for fans of Foveon sensors (as we are), this time addressing the criticisms we raised when reviewing the two fixed-lens dp Quattro cameras. The dp3 Quattro won't suit everyday snapshooters and may not be ideal for some photo enthusiasts.

I keep it short: So far the best Sigma camera. The SD1 Merrill was a big step in terms of quality camera body for Sigma, the SD Quattro improves on this and brings us into the mirrorless era. An to be honest: It's fun to use: Mirrorless rocks!
