Sigma is better known for its range of lenses, but it also produces a decent line in flashguns too, with the EF-610 DG ST available for Sigma, Canon, Nikon, Pentax and Sony systems. It’s a large flashgun, tipping the scales at 320g, and has the look and feel of a durable piece of kit.
As I shoot weddings, I need a flash that can recharge quickly in order to capture all of the special moments of an indoor or nighttime reception. This flash takes much longer than my last to recharge and fire. Also, it becomes loose very easily.
Aquired this flash unit and have to say it works really well for Pentax cameras in P-TTL Produces nice tones. One bit of a drawback that there is no Sync connection. But overall a worthwhile purchase.

So far so good. Still learning how to use the flash. I wanted a bigger flash than the camera mounted flash but I didn't want to break the bank. I have 2 Sony Camera's. I had to purchase an adapter to use the flash on my Sony A3000, MI flash shoe, $12.00. The flash mounted right up to my A390.
This flash has a powerful strobe and automatically adjust brightness and exposure.
Used both indoors and out and not found it wanting.Just wish I had purchased one for my husband at the same time as a Christmas present because he keeps using mine!!

Great flash for the price. It's not going to give you the robustness or quality feel of the Canon and Nikon top speed lights, but for a fill or kicker light it does the job.

Very easy to use, you can just turn it on and let it do all the work.

This flash gun is as cheap as chips so excellent value for money. It doesn't work as a slave or master but does work fine on the camera and includes the usual pull out diffuser and reflector. The plastic mount means that it should be attached and detached carefully to avoid damage.

I haven't had a chance to use it to a great extent, however, I bought it along with a Better Beamer to try to capture Hummingbirds and Butterflies on the move. It is doing the job, if only I could get more co-operation from the critters.
The flash is very strong for its price point. It works well with my Nikon D5200. The only weak point is the construction of the battery door. It is rather flimsy and should have been designed sturdier. Be careful when loading batteries and closing the door.
