What does this mean ?

When it comes to both types of detectors it would be difficult to find other instruments which could offer you something more than the Sigma. For the Micro 4/3 system you get the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 17 mm f/1.8 which is, slower, optically inferior, and still more expensive than the Sigma.

The Sigma 16mm F1.4 DC DN C lens offers two classic focal lengths depending on the camera system that you use - either a wide-angle 24mm for APS-C compact system cameras, or a slightly longer 32mm for Micro Four Thirds cameras, which is close enough to the classic 35mm focal length.

I am taking many pictures of paintings in museums and exhibits. I was using up to now a Sony 30mm prime lens. Most of the time you need a wider angle lens, either because you cannot get far enough from the painting or there are many people in front of you taking pictures with smart phones that have...

Love it... for my Sony A6000, so the lense is 24mm f2 great wide angle, sharp, clean, and easy to use. I use it for videos also (like vlogging). since the A6000 and the Sigma 16mm do not have OIS or any stabilization, the wide angle allows for those imperfections and does not disrupt the shot.

Have several lenses: 10-18 F/4, 18-135, 35 F/1.8 and this one. This lens produces sharpest images out of all Sony lenses I have. Great colors. Perfect for video and pictures in any light conditions. Going to be mounted most of the time on my upcoming trips. Focus is very fast.

I love, love, love this lens. Yes, there is a bit of distortion of facial features, but that is to be expected with a wide angle. It's not meant for portraits, but landscapes and scenery. It is super sharp, fast, is excellent in low light, and the bokeh is magnificent with that f1.4 aperture.

SOOOOO SHARP! Insanely sharp and quiet lens! I got this for my A6500 which I started to use it for as my primary lens. After I upgraded to a A7R3 which is full frame, I sold all of my other APS-C lenses but kept this one, despite it being APS-C, it still functions beautifully even on full frame but...

Purchased this for the Sony ZV E10 and it is quite impressive. Fantastic low light performance and very sharp. Whether you’re blogging or trying to do low light photography/videography … this could be the lens you require.

Bought recently for my GH5 on the strength of numerous positive YouTube reviews. Sigma have good reputation, I've had a Bigma(50-500mm) for years now. I tested the16mm indoors only so far and I'm really impressed with its clarity in low light. Snaps to focus really quickly and great picture quality.
