Shure SE425 Review I would like to thank Shure for sending me this pair of SE425 to review. I will try and write as honest a review as possible. I am by no means an audiophile, I love my music and I like to enjoy it through good headphones and speakers.

I finally broke my Shure E3C earbuds after almost seven years of faithful service. I crazy glued the stem back onto the earbud and the buds still work, but I felt nervous about the stem breaking again and getting stuck in my ear.

  Foam sleeves hard to remove. Proper insert is a two-hand task.

Not as much bass as with my SE215's, even with the same size foam tips - frankly, sort of disappointing considering the price difference between the two pairs.

I use these for music listening and for field monitoring.I bought them, in part, based on the Shure reputation for design, ruggedness, and accuracy.When I first received and tried these I did not like them. They fit poorly and the sound was very thin and lacking in bass and definition.

Very happy with my new SE-425's, the bass is there. The Clarity is awesome, horns sound like should, vocals are awesome as the drums are also!

Wonderful fit and amazing sound quality. Sleek design I can't get enough of these things. Can't wait to use them during my next live set.

I love listening to my iPod through my earphones, and I have a thing for high quality earphones. I always try to go out of my way to get myself high quality earphones, despite their high prices.

So, I purchased these as a backup pair for my honeymoon. I've used countless in ears and I must say these are, well, thin. Harsh sounding and really just a waste of money. I played these through my questyle qp1r (which in my opinion, is a game-changer in the dap world) listening to lossless 16 or 24...

I've owned some hi-end IEMs over the years. Bose & B&O A8s to name drop some. However the SE425s are by far & away the Best I've owned. The sound is every bit as good as advertised, when linked to my Astel Kern Jnr. What makes these special is some one has put a lot of effort into the fit & comfort.
