I am a man of few microphones. I somehow get by on the kindness of friends who seem to not mind leaving their mics in my possession for months at a time. So I was certainly pleased to have a pair of Shure KSM141 s show up at my door.
I bought a pair of these to mic my acoustic guitars in my home studio. They work very well together in that role, with one aimed roughly at the 12th fret and the other toward the bridge. It takes some tinkering around to find the "sweet spot," but it's there.

natural uncolored sound
This is one of the few microphones that I have used that work excellent on both the kick and snare. A friend brought a pair of these to a drum session, we experiemented with the KSM141 and the Microtech Geffell M930 witch ended up not being able to handle the snare.
