The Shure Aonic 50 headphones deliver excellent audio performance in a comfortable over-ear design, but their noise cancellation is merely good for the high price.

Strong audio performance with rich bass depth and clear, crisp highs, Solid active noise cancellation, Comfortable, secure fit

Expensive, EQ only works when music is played within app
Shure has been in the audio business since its 1925 founding in Chicago, Illinois. Since I was a kid, I’ve been familiar with the company using Shure gear onstage and off. The company makes a host of professional-grade audio equipment that’s respected industry-wide.

The design and look of these is stunning, High quality materials used in construction, Easy to use and operate, Great battery life, Priced competitively and have great value, These sound great and the ANC works well
-
-
The app is fine and it adds some control but I'd prefer audio companies to stop using apps, I know not everyone would agree, I wish they would collapse down and that the case was smaller. The large case makes it harder to transport them.
In late 2018, I was invited to the Shure headquarters for a demonstration of a new Bluetooth product (link here ). Last month, Shure sent me the new Aonic 50 wireless to review. This headphone is geared for premium audio quality followed by the convenience—now almost requirement—of wireless along...

Comfortable, Sound great, Sound even better when wired, ANC works well without negatively affecting the music
-
-
Expensive, Case is too large for commuting, Will not fold, Environment setting makes music sound artificial
Now then, is the Shure Aonic 50 worth splurging $400 on? When you know that the Sony WH-1000XM3, the current reference device in the market, which is still praised by critics and users almost unanimously, sells for around $300 as new, then it's hard to recommend anything else.

ANC is not good enough if you need an absolute noise killer, Large size, not ideal for travel
The Shure AONIC 50 noise cancelling headset is a premium solution to your work from home and commuting woes. Large removable earpads lengthen the lifespan of the headphones and are easy to clean. Noise cancelling is excellent as is functionality and comfort.

Price, No folding hinges, Mic amplifies background noise
Shure is a well known and highly respected brand in professional audio. You’ll find tons of their equipment in recording booths and on stage at any concert hall, but they’re not a household brand for most consumers.

Amazing sound, some of the best in the segment, Comfortable for many hours, Look great, Pack many features
-
-
ANC isn’t great, Battery life could be better
The Shure AONIC 50 are a reasonable choice for office use. They’re comfortable enough to wear all day and have a solid 17-hour plus battery life, which should be more than enough to get you through a couple of days at work without needing a charge.

Compatible with with a broad range of Bluetooth codecs., Comfortable fit., Easy-to-use controls.

-
Mediocre ANC.
Shure Aonic 50 has perhaps the best sound we have heard from noise-canceling headphones.
-
+
The sound quality is superb, with a neutral sound balance and a lot of details. Fit is excellent, with good passive noise reduction. You never go wrong with physical buttons.
-
-
Active noise cancellation could have been better. No voice control (but who cares). Not foldable.
“Shure's Aonic 50 are some of the better sounding headphones around, but they're expensive”
After having the Shure 846 for about five years and the Shure 840 for a few months, I expected much better sound quality from the Aonic 50. If that is your primary criteria for choosing your next headphone, I cannot recommend this.

- real wired mode: can totally bypass the internal DAC/amp, - all Bluetooth codecs supported including LDAC, - BT multipoint implemented well, - comfortable, all controls are intuitive, - good battery life, - nice design, - excellent build quality, - active noise cancellation works well, - great for...
-
-
- mediocre detail retrieval, - sounds a bit hollow, - low sound quality/price ratio, especially compared to other (wired) Shure headphones, 1. ANC is not good enough if you need an absolute noise killer, 2. Large size, not ideal for travel
I've tried out a lot of noise canceling Bluetooth headphones over the years and I've always just been looking for a little bit better sound quality. These have I would describe more of a flat sound but there's not really a lack of anything in songs that have bass I have bass I really like them.

Comfortable, great sound, average battery life, USB dac capability

Large case, sometimes fatiguing, on the weaker side of noise canceling
I have to say these sound great. Somewhere between flat and a very low V curve. Charge exceeds 20 hr rating by at lesst 4-5 hours. The problem I have is in the fit which I did not expect. At max extension the cups just make it around the lobe of my ear. But then they don't fit the upper ear well.
Recommend these for both music and for conference calls. The bluetooth connects reliably and the battery life is excellent. Comfortable even with glasses.
Picked these up and they are exactly what I wanted. I was debating between these and the sony m4s and decided on these. They are very comfortable as I wear them all day.
Fits very comfortably. I have eye glasses and does not interfere with those. Sounds very good tome. I haven't used headphones in a while so can't compare to other models but I like the sound. I use both with bluetooth and a wired connection and can't see an difference. Controls are easy to use.

Fit, Sound Isolation, Styling
These headphones sound OK but lack bass response. The ear cup covering separated from the unit exposing the foam padding underneath. The app for android is not feature rich. The noise cancelling feature is not very good compared to other products I've used in the past. I'm returning my unit.
Amazing! They sound impressive and are incredibly comfortable to wear. It’s also nice to be able to use them while plugged in or Bluetooth.
Have not explored the wonders of the noise cancelation, but the sound is just great. I have been using the phones to play along with -on harmonica- various blues classics and obscurities. The definition and clarity of the music is uniformly excellent. And they're all day comfortable.

none found.
These headphones are hands down the absolute best Bluetooth headphones that I have ever used. I spent four years on a submarine and these headphones are every bit as good as the headphones our sonar techs use. Crisp clear highs, warm mids and powerful deep lows.
