The Sennheiser CX 400BT earphones deliver some of the best on-ear controls and audio performance you'll find in a true wireless pair.
-
+
Excellent audio performance with rich bass depth and detailed highs, Comprehensive, intuitive, and customizable on-ear controls, App features adjustable EQ, Secure fit
-
-
Pricey, Not ideal for gym use
“The sound is incredible, but the cost of a lowered price is a bunch of missing features.”
-
+
Superb sound quality, Responsive and customizable controls, Highly adjustable onboard EQ
-
-
Lacks features for the money, Possible fit and comfort problems
The first pair of standalone earbuds I bought was the Sennheiser CX 400-II . It was 2009 and at the time, it seemed preposterous to spend money on an accessory that was bundled for free with every phone or iPod.

SoundThese are the best-sounding true wireless buds I've tried., ControlsThey're customizable in the app, and give neat feedback through different tones for double and triple taps., AppYou can customize the equalizer and easily switch your buds' connection between multiple phones and computers.

-
No independenceThe right earbud is the master. You can't use the left one alone as only the right one works in mono mode., Missing featuresBesides the lack of ANC, these don't have proximity sensors, a transparency mode, wireless charging, or an IP rating of any kind.
The Sennheiser CX 400BT is a really solid mid-range set of TWS earphones, but bargain hunters may want to find something else if ANC is important to them. Still, having high-end audio hardware at a mid-range price point is a good bargain in our opinion.

Sound quality, In-app equalizer, Small case, USB-C charging, AAC and aptX support

Cost, No ANC, Large earbuds
With its third set of true wireless earbuds, Sennheiser’s CX 400BT is a more affordable option. The company manages to mostly retain the stellar sound quality from the Momentum True Wireless 2 along with customizable and reliable touch controls.
-
+
Great sound, Customizable controls, Configurable EQ
-
-
No ANC, No ambient sound, No automatic pausing, No wireless charging
The Sennheiser CX 400BT are alright for mixed use. They're fairly comfortable and are stable enough for moderate exercise. They can also reduce quite a bit of mid-range sounds like ambient chatter at work.
-
+
Graphic and parametric EQ available., Great build quality.

Disappointing battery performance., Bulky design.
Sennheiser want to demonstrate that — in addition to their excellent Momentum True Wireless , which are right at the top of the charts both in terms of hit lists and price — they are quite capable of catering to the upper mid-range of the market.
If you’re one of those people who enjoy listening to music while on the go, don’t worry, you’re not alone. Music soothes and keeps us going during hectic days, so you’d want a pair of earbuds that produce superior sounds.
My time using the CX 400BT was very enjoyable. I appreciated all the customizable options and warm sound signature, as well as their flawless connection and accessibility. For $199.95 this is a solid true wireless from Sennheiser, and a sure buy if you’re looking for a reliable pair.
We have already illustrated that the Sennheiser CX 400BT has tough competition. Straight up on the spec sheet, it misses active noise cancellation. You may feel it’s a big miss, but really, it isn’t. If you’d really want ANC still, the Sony WF-1000XM3 are yours to pick then.
So far, I really love these earbuds by "Sennheiser CX 400BT True". I'm impressed with the overall design of the earbuds and charging unit. It's not cheaply made considering the price. The earpieces fit comfortably in the ear without feeling loose like they may fall out.

- Clean highs and sufficient bass- Great battery life- Comes with 3 different pairs of replacement buds to find your fit (I really enjoy the extra soft tips during extended wear at the gym)- Fits snug and doesn't give that feeling of falling out.

None that I can think of at the moment.
I would recommend this set to those that want to tune the outside world out and focus on exercising, chores, or calls. They certainly give you the freedom to do so. The sound quality is incredible. The physical quality is solid - especially how the ear buds magnet into place for charging.

I highly recommend these awesome wireless ear buds to absolutely anyone. One word I would use to sum this product up and/or describe it, would be AMAZING. They are a bit on the pricey side, but can promise you that their worth every penny well spent.

Become slightly uncomfortable if wearing for more than an hour or so
My Sennheiser CX 400BT wireless ear buds are fantastic. The fit was perfect with no worries of them loosening of falling out. And the sound was awesome, crisp, clear and clean. A perfect product for me. I recommend this product to all my friends

Clear, crisp clean sound.. Fits perfect in my ears

A like costly for earbuds, but worth it to me
Comfortable where even after hours of use the only reason you know your wearing them is because your using them, crystal clear sound, easily set up with easy to use app for settings, nice tap controls on the ear pieces to pause skip or replay/stepback.
The frequency response was what sold it and it’s not made up. The full robust spectrum of sound from rich sumptuous deep bass, through punchy mid-range and up to taut treble that doesn’t sting the ear drums. Superb for the price and fills your head with sound!
I tried to figure out how to work them without success. My son, who owns a stereo store tried for a half hour to figure them out, with no success.
Overall I found the Sennheiser True Wireless ear buds to be fantastic. They are extremely comfortable, secure, and provide excellent sound quality and noise cancellation.
After take the headphones out of the box I had a few issues, first they would not connect to my iphone, I tried several time with no luck. I put the headphones on charge over night and tried again, this time they paired quickly and with no issues.
