have an ALL IN ONE HDD DOCKING STATION makes all the difference in the world. Turn off computer, put in new hard drive, attach old hard drive to ALL IN ONE HDD DOCKING STATION, turn on computer and start to copy files, old school but it will work, no fancy 3rd party software to mess with and try to...
I needed a replacement in my array as one of its Western Digital 6Tb drives developed errors after just 11 months of use. Decided to go with Seagate and pay extra for the 'IronWolf' 8Tb version, as I wanted to minimize the possibility of future failures. So far, everything is just fine and dandy.
These drives were what I needed. For the price I couldn’t be too stingy. I bought them for my new nas. I liked the fact that my Synology had software that integrated with these drives and provided health info. I actually mainly bought it for that reason as well as it’s lower price point.
I have 4 of these drives, 2 a couple years old, now 2 more as mass backup storage. I haven't had any issues with them (knock on wood) So far they've been as fast, quiet and reliable as I've required for my purposes of mainly mass storage and backup, can't ask for much more than that.
The drives work well they are a bit noisy but I did read that in other reviews. I hope they last a long time the price was right but I think you get what you paid for (noise). This are in my first attempt in building a NAS media server. I will be trying the WD RED pro set of drives next.
Running 2 in a NAS, working great. Will be buying two more shortly.
Toujours satisfait de ce disque pour mon serveur
This HDD runs 24/7 without flaws. Runs in a two bay NAS. The speed is comparable to other drives it competes with.
Work great Thanks
