Works great, doesn't get to hot. Even in small spaces. Met my needs and I would by this again.
Make sure your intended use is not too tight, otherwise, a good HDD.
using in my HP Proliant server
Does the job of a HDD works fine for storing my steam collection well and fits nicely in my case, however I didn't pay attention to the depth of the HDD as it's quite thick so be careful if you're planning on putting this in a laptop
Drive not recognised and very hot!!! Bought it a few months ago so returns window closed.
Too big to fit inside a PlayStation 4 and it wasnt clear in the description. Some people said it would, other people said it didnt. I bit the bullet and bougt it but sent it back when i realised the height of this thing it soo big to fit. I cant say it was great because I never got to use it.
Ideal product. Highly recommend. NOTE: If you are planning to use this as an external HDD, you need a caddy that accommodates 15mm thick drives. I bought the 'INEO' caddy and it works perfectly (see below): USB 3.0 External 2.5-inch SATA Hard Drive Enclosure - ElecGear Aluminum Caddy Case for Large...
PS4 Pro owners note. Only drives up to and include 2TB drive are compatible. I purchase the 3TB version which is a 15mm height and too tall for the PS4 Pro and on the basis of the reviews it intimates that the drive is compatible, but these review must all relate to the 7mm form factor drives.
Got this for my SFF PC - it's brilliant. Loads of space now and fairly speedy for a small mech drive. Great value for money.
For starters, seagate has always been a sub par drive. It will die within a few months of use under normal conditions. The only reason i bought one was for the capacity as it was going into a nuc as a secondary drive for movies.
