While Samsung's SSD 850 Pro turned in superb results when we reviewed it in late June, we couldn't quite crown it the performance king without having benched SanDisk's new flagship.

The Extreme Pro is among the fastest SATA SSDs you can buy today, it's reasonably priced and it ships with a 10-year warranty.

It's outdone by the performance of Samsung's 850 Pro and we would've liked to have seen hardware encryption included.
If you plan on only buying one Solid State Drive over the next 10 year period, make it the SanDisk Extreme PRO. It will prove to be a great drive, all of the time, and with warranty to cover any worst-case-scenarios. The performance of this drive couldn’t be rattled by anything I threw at it.

Sustained performance and speeds over the entire spectrum, Longest available warranty in this market segment with 10 years, 9 mm adapter bracket for laptop users, Only 0.15 watt power consumption on this model, Optimal cooling provided to all internal components

No native encryption features
Between these drives, you can’t go wrong. Though Extreme Pro does offer benefits in performance and higher warranty period, Ultra II is more affordable and still has good performance for casual users and even gamers.

Good Read and Write Performance, Ten-Year Warranty
When you first look at the Extreme PRO series you will raise an eyebrow and will start to wonder that exactly has been changed over the Extreme II series from SanDisk. Well, when we purely talk about peak performance, sure nothing much.
After I have finished writing the introduction of this review, and playing through some situational fitting music of "Anchor" by Hillsong United through the Audioengine A2+ speakers sitting on my desktop, here is the $380 question to answer: Can we place all our hope in SanDisk to deliver the best...
With high performance, best in class consistency and a killer 10 year warranty, SanDisk’s Extreme PRO series should be at the top of your SSD shopping list.
The Extreme PRO only goes down to 240GB, but it tops our chart as the fastest consumer SSD you can buy today. Check out Chris' full review of this new SSD.

I'm using this drive as a secondary drive. I haven't ran into any issues so far and the speeds are great.

So far too good to be true. The computer seems to operate a lot faster than new. I would recommend the SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD to anyone...and have done so!
I purchased this 960gb SSD for my 2011 Mac Book pro. Was very easy to install myself. My system works fantastically ever since i have installed this SSD. System boots up in under 10 secs. Super fast! applications too load up just at the click of a button. Highly recommended!
