I don’t have a house full of gadgets for comparison because I like to buy things once and be done... that was my philosophy choosing this hard drive and it appears to have paid off. Treating this as a multi-year investment I wanted to take advantage of high speeds and high capacity.

First, the bad: I bought this because my Windows laptop has a USB Type-C port. It wouldn't read this drive through that port, even though it reads other Type-C drives I've used. It is automatically formatted to exFAT, which both Windows and Macs read.

This is the perfect hard drive for being setup in an edit suite or being on the go. It's tough and compact, super convenient to be on a shoot with and extremely fast when transferring data. It's a key part of my production toolset.

The SanDisk 1TB portable SSD is awesome. Its extremely fast and the storage capabilities is unparalleled. Its less than half the size of my iPhone and lighter than a feather. I’m happy with the performance! In hindsight I should have gone with a larger size, but that’s not a knock against the product itself. Great for external game storage.

Really liking this drive. No problems so far - great performance and utility. I've had issues with the connector on other SanDisk flash drives but this USB-C connection seems very robust. Love the design - very compact and super stylish. Highly recommend!
