This really is a great Tv. I find it funny that is shows the list price for this tv $699.99! Samsung sells these tvs for $250. You arent saving any money. All website advertise the same price
Bought this for our newly completed 4 Season room here in northeastern South Carolina. The challege - a smart TV that is viewable in bright daytime sunshine and not glaringly bright at night. Mission acomplished with the built in ambient light sensor.
I bought this tv and used it only moderately over the past 2 yrs. I turned it on today and the bottom of the screen was darker than the top and both top and bottom were hazy. After an hour with tech support, I was told that the guarantee was only for a year and they were sorry. I'm sorry, too.
Screen blew after 2 yrs
I always love Samsung and am a dedicated customer. It really is top quality. However, next time I'll look more into the actually necessity of the Smart feature based on how long it takes to load.
The picture quality is great, even for local channels. The Smart features on the TV are very nice to have since I don't have cable and only watch TV from Netflix and internet sources.
The TV has to "warm up" before it will enable Smart features, which is disappointing because one of the reasons I got the TV was so I didn't have to access Netflix through an external source and wait longer.
This replaced an older, smaller, non-smart, TV that had a Roku attached. The picture is great with over-the-air broadcast antenna attached. Assembly and setup was easy. I connected it to home WiFi securely, checked for firmware and application updates, and entered our Netflix account information.
Easy to assemble, connect, and configure, Free over-the-air digital and HD channels
The user giving the bad review before me rated the TV a 1 star solely based on a feature that is an add-on to a TV in the first place. The other 1 star review of this TV was just an angry user complaining about a nuance & probably an isolated problem (I haven't experienced any of it).
The picture is extremely crisp for the sub $400 pricetag. Not to mention it is a 1080P LED Smart TV. Easy to set up, aesthetically pleasing, and overall I'm very pleased.
Smart Apps aren't the best, but no smart user interface is ever going to be great. Let's face it, its made one time and never updated. Any real AV nerd will add another piece of equipment to take care of the job. Any new age game console or Over The Top Box will solve this "issue".
HDTV was bought for son who lives in NY (live and work in Miami) and he and his girlfriend are very happy with the gift.
Attractive Design, Clear Audio, Clear Picture, Durable, Easy Controls, Easy To Set Up, Energy Efficient
Well so much for innovation let's start off with this TV is almost 2 years old and it also has the slowest apps for a smart TV on the market I bought this last year Christmas and I only paid $249 not worth the price
Like other reviewers have stated, too much effort has to be repeatedly expended, depending on the station or smart TV application to arrive at settings which work a majority of the time.
We have no complaints with this t.v. We bought a different model Samsung for another room and for the volume you could only move one number at a time and that was very frustrating. THIS t.v. You can just hold the volume up or down and there it goes.
