The remote needed to be paired manually to insure proper functioning. The picture quality is very good. As other reviews indicated there is some blurring on quick motions. Using the smart remote will require a bit of work since on screen menu must be used frequently.
Last TV I purchased was a Panasonic Plasma in 2005. This one is Light Years ahead in almost every aspect. Very good picture, good sound and about 1/4 the weight of my old tv. Set up was extremely easy and connected with my Wi-Fi without trouble.
The picture is excellent! I'm not as enamored with the sound and volume, though I suspect that may have more to do with my cable interface than with the TV itself. Getting used to the Samsung Smart TV interface was a small challenge.

Literally pull it out of the box, plug it in and your ready to go in a few clicks. This was a Christmas gift for my elderly parents and they were even able to figure out the setup. Very happy with the purchase.
I purchased this 50 inch version to replace my Smaller 43 inch TV in my living room. I gave my daughter the 43 for her new bedroom setup and that TV still performs and looks great from 2019.
Excellent tv. It arrived really fast. WOW!!! Best picture, it is so LIVE! Set up was easy&fast. FYI I don't have cable service, just internet. The remote, I confess, takes a bit to get used to, but in two days I was good using it.
