If we simply take a step back and regard this TV for what it is – Samsung’s best effort for 2014 – then we have to say Samsung knocked it right out of the park with the HU9000 series.
Outstanding picture quality, Bright images with great black levels, Sleek, eye-catching design, Excellent remote control, UHD content included free
Curved look isn’t for everyone, Curve is expensive, LCD panels have limitations
The Samsung HU9000 has straight-up great picture quality, design and features, but the gratuitous curved screen adds very little to the viewing experience and way too much to the price.
The UNHU9000 curved 4K LED LCD has an excellent picture with deep black levels, accurate color and great bright-room viewing qualities. Its styling is drop-dead gorgeous, and the curve lends a unique, futuristic look.
Aside from reducing reflections somewhat, the curve provides no benefit to image quality, and in fact introduces subtle distortions. The HU9000 is also more expensive than most 65-inch 4K TVs, including Samsung's own flat versions.
The UN55HU9000 is Samsung's entry into the curved 4K LED TV realm. It is as good as it gets without stepping into OLED territory for 2014 Samsung LED TVs. It sports all of the features a top tier TV should have.
I really like this tv. Everything works as it should. The delivery guys were awsome, they assembled the tv and removed my old tv from its stand and hooked up the new tv.. This was the best experience on delivery of a tv set.
This is one of the best uhd tvs ever made. Crystal clear. Detail is incredible and truly delivers as it upscale 1080p content. The clear motion rate of 1440 automatically balanced any fast moving scenes and I NEVER got a shaky or lagging image on the tv.
Excellent TV with lots of features.
I've had this about a week to replace a broken 60 inch 3d TV I had. Unfortunately, 3D TV has been killed off so I am very happy to have found this one. I have this paired up with Samsung 4K 3D player and the 3D is awesome. I would not hesitate buying this TV.
I've had this tv for a year now. I LOVE IT!!! I actually built a theater with it. It's that large. I get ALOT of compliments on it. The 4K is sharp, bought a Samsung 4K BluRay player for it. Hooked up to Harmon receiver with Bose speakers. This is a 9 series, doesn't get any better.
I purchased this TV through an electronics store a couple of years ago (at the time it was $3500). I have been having problems with it for months. I have been trying to get Samsung to provide a repair under my extended warranty and it's been like pulling teeth.
wireless worthless, curved is so un-necessary, 3d weak. My 1 year newer 65 TV other brand has zero wireless problems. Yet this model has super unreliable, weak wireless. I went with the most expensive top of the line computerized model thinking I would get the best.
TV lasted less than two years. No video or audio, replaced the connect box to test. Still nothing. Can't even bring up the menu. Sad that a tv that at first had cost 4 thousand dollars (I of course did not pay that much) would fail in less than two years.
Very nice tv, I love to have it.it was sent in a very secured pack, and reached before schedule.
Loved this TV until I found out that I'm only getting internet speed of 10-20 mbps when I'm feeding it via a WIRED connection of > 50 mbps. So I can't really stream any 4k with this speed. Has anyone experienced this with this TV? I'm waiting for an answer from Samsung.
