If the high price doesn't scare you off, the Samsung Galaxy View's large size and practical interface makes for a good alternative to a TV, if not a replacement.

The Samsung Galaxy View has a big, bright screen with a useful built-in stand and handle for carrying around. Its homepage aggregates popular streaming services to make watching video easy.
-
-
Its plastic kickstand feels cheap and slaps violently into the chassis when changing the angle. There are no ports for connecting devices like game consoles.
The big question here: Should you buy a Galaxy View? The simple answer: No, probably not. Unless you’re so desperate for a huge 18.4-inch tablet that you care about almost nothing else, there are far batter options. If you really want a small TV, we recommend actually purchasing a small 24-inch TV .

Large, Full HD screen, It’s just about the only 18.4-inch tablet

-
Heavy at 6lbs, Huge and ungainly, Kickstand doesn’t lay flat, Very expensive ($600), Slow and laggy
Does the world need a ginormous tablet designed almost exclusively for streaming movies and TV shows? After spending a good week with Samsung’s 18.4-inch Galaxy View, I can say that the answer is...

It's... unique, microSD card slot, Good battery life

Big and awkward to carry, Underwhelming 1080p display, Too expensive
If you want a device to just leave around the house for watching media and browsing the Internet, the Galaxy View could definitely work for you. However, for getting work done or for travelling, you’ll want something smaller and lighter.
We’re not sure whether the team responsible for the Samsung Galaxy View are geniuses or mad. They’ve either created the most awkward tablet ever or carved out a new market segment, just as the Note family did; serving as the catalyst for the phablet scene we know now.

Great for entertainment, Vibrant screen, Integrated kickstand, Smart user interface
I have a love and hate relationship with Samsung. Samsung is one of the largest tech companies in the world, and even though they drive me absolutely nuts sometimes with the decisions they make as a group, I cannot argue with the positive impact it has on the mobile industry as a whole.
What's Samsung up to here? It's a tablet that's sort of a TV that you can move except it's not a TV as you can't watch TV on it so it's a tablet but who has a tablet this big? That's pretty much my thought process on the Samsung Galaxy View, a tablet that somehow seems to try and be two things and...
There's
No 4K screen, small storage, 2GB of ram and way too expensive. Samsung products are usually nice but the Samsung Galaxy View is too expensive for what you get. For this price you can get a full size tv and a game console with higher specs. Samsung insulting customers on this one.

WAY TO EXPENSIVE!
This tablet has been awesome for my family. It's super fast and easy to use. The large screen is great for watching videos and surfing the internet.
This thing is basically a TV . I bought it for my dad to use as a computer but he never uses it so I use it as a TV on his Direct TV account. I got the DTV app and a few others and don't have to pay for my own DTV. It has already payed for itself.
With the sale price that I bought it at, ok, but to spend anymore than 400 on this is not something I would do, or suggest, just not worth it.

easy to work with, great for games, nice size screen

a little awkward because size, problem running some programs without that, screen doe not rotate
I love it! It's so huge and has it's only built in handle/stand. That is a definite plus. And when it's not standing, it's slightly raised on flat surface so it's tilted towards you. It's got excellent image quality and really good sound quality.
awese great for showing clients listing sheets during showings, even better nice screen size for travel with grandkids makes my van a theater

Great product, we use it as a streaming TV in our kitchen.
Great tablet with features!! It is a little heavy but if you have a case, it is fine.
