The Samsung Galaxy book beats the Surface on value by including a keyboard cover and stylus in the box, but the Surface's design is still much more refined.

+
The Samsung Galaxy Book has an excellent screen, strong performance and long battery life. For a 12-inch tablet, it's compact. A keyboard cover and stylus are both included.

It can get hot if multitasking for a long time. The keyboard case is wobbly if not sitting on a sturdy surface. The kickstand situation isn't as solid as the Surface's.
We just wish the company would drop the price by a couple hundred bucks. Because unless your employer is footing the bill, $1,300-plus is a lot to pay for any general-purpose computing device, no matter how good it is. And the Galaxy Book could still do with some minor improvements.

Excellent battery life for a slim, powerful tablet, Stellar Super AMOLED screen, Comfortable keyboard for a folio device, Stand supports three stable screen angles
-
-
Pricey, even in base model, $1,129 entry model ships with just 4GB of RAM, No Windows Hello camera or fingerprint reader, Keyboard doesn't tilt up at the back (like on the Surface Pro) for improved typing feel
You wait for one premium 2-in-1 Windows 10 hybrid, and along come a whole selection at once. Samsung is hoping the Galaxy Book 12-inch will catch your eye out of a growing market, promising the latest in digital S Pen technology plus more processing power than you might expect from such a skinny...

Well-constructed and quietly stylish, Super AMOLED screen is superb, S Pen is great for digital artists, Impressive performance from Core i5

LTE option only comes with 4GB of RAM, Very expensive, Stand design can be frustrating
Samsung's Galaxy Book 12 might be a 12-inch detachable tablet 2-in-1 device, but it performs more like a full-fledged ultrabook. With its 15 Watt 7th gen Intel Kaby Lake Core series processor, 8GB of RAM, and reasonably nimble Samsung m.2 SATA SSD, this 1.5 pound ultralight hung with significantly...
The Galaxy Book’s $1,430 price tag is high, but with Windows 10 Pro, keyboard case, stylus and one-year warranty, it comes complete. A similarly configured Surface Pro 4 costs $1,200, but its Type Cover keyboard costs an extra $130, bringing it to $100 less than the Galaxy Book 12.

+
Excellent performance, comfortable backlit keyboard case, pressure-sensitive stylus, two USB-C ports
-
-
Expensive, no vPro processor option, lacks pull-out display stand
Still, if you want the flexibility of a two-in-one the Samsung offers a solid package that is perfect for media lovers.

+
Gorgeous Super AMOLED display, Strong performance, Responsive keyboard, Interesting convertible design

Mediocre battery life, Lack of premium design, Expensive
Leveraging the success of its first attempt at cramming a full-blown Windows 10 PC tablet in an ultra-thin form factor with a keyboard, Samsung delivers an impressive product design performance with the Galaxy Book at MWC 2017.
This gorgeous Samsung 2-in-1 gives Microsoft's best tablet a run for its money
I received my Galaxy book 12" 256gb model 2 weeks ago, and so far I am very pleased with it. It can really take the place of a laptop, with it's speed and versatility. I wish there were couple better features but overall I am pretty happy.
Backlight is not working on keyboard along with the top row keys on keyboard. I don't understand if it has something to do with the settings. I may have to return it.. SMH
I love the Samsung Galaxy Book! It is lightweight and convenient. The speed and function are impressive. It has totally replaced my heavy laptop. With the amazing S Pen and the detachable keyboard that come with it, it is the WHOLE PACKAGE! It charges EXTREMELY FAST!I highly recommend it!
Says 4.7 out of 5 stars(3) with "NO REVIEWS"I feel like Samsung slacked on this in the specs department they could have done much better with the specs or at least given more customization options.
Very good tablet. It's easy to use and has a good battery life.
