The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is a compelling package. No other other 10-inch tablet with Android 6, LTE and Full-HD on the market offers more for less. If the performance is up to par as well is the subject of our review.
sturdy design, bright Full-HD display, LTE, 5 GHz WLAN, Android 6, microSD slot with App2SD, games run stutter-free, long battery life
only 10.5 GB available storage, weak cameras, throttling under maximum load, speaker only on one side, battery is not swappable
In the realm of Android tablets, standing out from the pack is becoming an increasingly challenging task for manufacturers. With its new Galaxy Tab 10.1 device, Samsung has managed to set itself apart with a quality few have achieved: sexiness. That's right: The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is sexy.
Slim and sexy design; crisp, vibrant display; excellent performance; ships with Android 3.1
No USB or HDMI ports; no support for external storage; colors can appear oversaturated; OS upgrade path still unclear
This tablet presents all my features that I need, perfect size, as a lefty it was and still ano annoying problem for me the place of the pencil which is always designed for people who are right handed.
It's mainly a secondary device for quickly accessing the internet for information, a little gaming and watching videos or accessing work related support issues. I have to say I don't think I have had to charge it for several days, holds a charge extremely well.
I'm pleased with this tablet. The screen has good resolution. It has two cameras with good lenses and aperture. (I learned the hard way that high megapixel cell phone cameras don't always produce sharp pictures.) Pictures are sharp, without distortion, even in indoor lighting.
My first tablet, and I love the 10.1 inch size, easy to see everything and pictures show up so great on the screen. Set-up was very easy, even for this senior citizen. This is my new favorite toy!
User friendly for beginners
I bought this tablet and was surprised it didn't have MHL
No MHL support
Bought two of these for my kids and they have been using them for about 1 month. Also bought extra memory. One of the tablets randomly restarts at least once a day. The other tablet has an issue with the added memory...it's like the chip isn't in there.
I have bought this tablet twice now for my wife and I am going to have to return for the second time. We own a Samsung tablet and now have tried to purchase another one, just to have it re-start while using it, freeze up while using it. Not once but now twice this has happened.
Has both Microsoft Office in Google Docs. Works very well with multiple input methods. You can use a stylus. The keyboard, and voice. The Microsoft Office is a stripped-down version. The camera is a very good camera. I have no complaints about this product and I would buy it again.
Pros: Fast, works pretty well. Cons: touch screen slow sometimes, apps shut down by themselves occasionally, start-up is slow
Already love it and most of time I use tablet no problem so far
