Samson markets the C01U as the first affordable studio-quality condenser microphone with a USB interface. The first thing you notice is the weight of the microphone. It has a heavy gauge mesh grill protecting the diaphragm and has a real meaty, solid feel.

The Build Quality and the Performance of the Mic are the Best for what i paid for it.

I ordered the Samsom C01U after my AT2020 started giving me problems. I used the AT2020 for many quality years, but after listening to sound recordings on Youtube, the C01U seems to have a richer sound. I have been very happy with the sound quality it produced. It's truly the best mic I've used yet.

I purchased this mic for my Mac desktop computer. Installation was a breeze and the mic works very well. Well made and feels good. I use it to put together YouTube tutorials. Clean and clear recordings.

Setup was very easy for this microphone. It is a simple plug & play use. I tested it with garageband on a mac computer and audacity on a windows computer. Both worked seamlessly. The audio recording quality was better than I expected for paying this price on a microphone.

Works wonderfully with adobe audition. I use this Mic for professional VO work and it sounds great. Very clean tone and easy to setup/use.
