Great product for easily creating 3D space through sound. Make sure the recorder can handle the dual mic input! One drawback -- the thin ear piece lines can melt if used directly next to a camera that gets heated (had an issue with a GoPro filming for a long duration).
For the price these work, but the quality of the mics isn't superb. With a little EQ in post you can compensate and it's fine. Either way, the quality of these is pretty good.
I recorded live performance of Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto, recorded Joe Satriani concert Impossible Momentum and Roger Waters - The Wall in Belgrade. The live recording from Roger Waters sounds much better than from O2 Arena. I just couldn't believe that it sounds so real.
These binaural mics work great. It's wonderful that you can monitor as you record. The only downside I've seen is the low frequency response is extremely boomy. They are not very good for concert environments unless you want to do quite a bit of equalization.
This is truly a great investment for compact run-and-gun videomakers!
These Mic/Ear are a nice product, for instance they are good to use when you are flying with a gimbal and you cannot use microphone. Also, they are extremely sensitive, which is typicalof binaural microphones.
I can confirm that these microphones work properly with a Canon EOS 7D MKii DSLR without the need for any additional equipment. I've only recorded one very short test video, but even that was simply amazing. The surround sound effect is nothing short of incredible.
Impressive sound, and they did not distort, even when recording live rock music in a small club.
I loved the idea of this product - mic and monitor all in one! However, it does not yield the best results ... Also, you really can't monitor and record at the same time because of the reverb effect. The sound of the earphones are also on the darker side and not very accurate ...
This is just perfect for recording people on their comfortable state. People don't like to see microphone, and actually, the headphones on this sounds great! Now, there is a little catch, you have to be careful when first connecting it because it gives background noise if the recording level is too...
