Rokinon XEEN CF 85mm T1.5 Pro Cine Lens (EF Mount)

So i went into this looking for a cheap 85mm and i stumbled upon this lens. This lens has better quality glass than nikkor DX lenses in my opinion. Also if you know how to shoot fully manual the photographer can add a cinematic quality to their photos.

I absolutely love this lens. I was recommended it by my boyfriend and have been so happy with the pictures I have taken since then. The quality compared to the basic Nikon lenses that came with my camera is amazing.

I use this for both video & stills. I love the clickless aperture control. It's sharpness is good/usable wide open at t/1.5 & gets sharper stopped down. If you're expecting really sharp images though, don't get your hopes up as this isn't that sharp overall.

Like other reviews I read when considering this lens, it is very soft, which made it hard to snap quick pictures at the evening wedding I was hired to photograph, but it did the job for the smaller details of the wedding that I could take the time to make sure they were perfectly in focus

I have a set of Rokinon Cine lenses and only this one is significantly warmer than the other lenses. Plus the minimum focus distance is bad and you can't get close with this lens.

Excellent build, gears work great for my follow focus rig. Contrast and color reproduction match exactly the Rokinon 35 T1.5 Cine I have and almost identical to my L-Series Canon glass. KIller lens.

As a film student, and interested in cinematography, this is perfect for all that I need in making short films. Very professional and crisp looking shots, easy to use.

I have this lens for the Sony a7s and it provides for such beautiful shots. I couldn't be happier with this at the price range.

Shoots excellent video. My images are very crisp and clean with this lens. Seems a little dimmer than expected, but somehow produces less chromatic aberrations in low-light. It claims to be t1.5, but seems more like t2 to me. But perhaps that's due to using it on a crop sensor.
