I have a small home based office and wanted something to handle my copies and a small amount of printing. This MFC was good for that unitl a month in, the printer stopped pulling paper from the tray. Now, everytime I want to make a copy I get an error.
Spent about four hours trying to install it with Windows 10 (myself and tech support) tech support gave up. I then set it up in minutes with Windows XP. Works great with XP. At first the print was real light.... I know now to take off ink saver if I want a dark image.
Not really a bad printer all-in-all. HOWEVER, I will say that the printer did cause a lot of issues for me personally. It was a bit tedious for me to set up and finally begin to use the printer.
Good print but took hours to set up to network. The hardest I have ever had to set up. Three books of confusing info. Would expect more from Ricoh.
the only problem i had with setup, and it is an important point, is with the wifi. it took me quite a while and had to do some research since the instructions were not all that clear. i finally got the wifi working and it seems to be doing fine now.
The printer itself I have no serious issues with. It prints quickly and the quality is good. Replacement cartridges seem reasonably priced. I will say that the included instructions are atrocious.
Good price, but still have not been able to get the scanner portion of the unit to scan in color to a folder. Cannot seem to find any assistance (without paying) to resolve this.
Our Ricoh SP213SNW MFD has worked flawlessly for us. So good in fact that we bought a second one. It prints well, copies good and does scan to folder and email perfectly. It has the feature set and print quality of a system much more expensive. I recommend it highly.
Ricoh had to send a tech to our office and spent 3 hours getting it installed, drivers don't work on Windows 10, otherwise the machine is a lot for the money and now that it's working seems fine.
Extremely difficult to set up. After several hours trying (and I am knowledgeable) I finally called Ricoh for help. Their tech accessed my computer and also had some difficulty, but eventually got it to print but told me I could not scan with Windows Home Edition -- I would have to upgrade Windows 7...
