The other reviews are not joking about room shaking bass. After some tweaks and tuning this is more than enough for my sized viewing area. Downfiring port allows me to slip it into a tight space without disrupting air flow. Auto on with signal is a nice upgrade for me as well

Purely preference, the grill attachment holes disrupt the look when used without the grill
sound quality is awesome and true to sound,,the only downside and this should not effect your decision,, is the unit is large in size
Sounds good with my Pioneer elite receiver. Running left and right subwoofers.
Excellent companion for Polk Sound ************System**********
Recently I decided to change my AV system as my Bose subwoofer had developed a buzz at volume. I bought a Yamaha AV receiver and all Polk speakers for a 5.1 system. The subwoofer is the HTS 10. I went back and forth thinking about the 10 vs. the 12, however I chose the HTS10 as my room is 15 x 30.
Great Bass. it bigger than I expected. Love the auto on feature.
Beautiful craftsmanship, heavy and the bass is amazingly clean and tight! I paired with the Polk S20's and the Pold S35 center. Blown away by the sound, especially for the money.
Blends nicely with my Bowers & Wilkins 5.1 setup. I chose this sub because of the price, sleek modern look and Polk’s reputation for durable performance. It produces smooth tight bass without a hint of distortion. Very happy with my purchase.
Tried this sub out with several pair of bookshelf speakers. And compared to KEF Cube 10 sub. The HTS10 sounded great for music, for my ears, at half volume. I suppose if you really like bass, you might turn it up. Despite having 1/3 the RMW wattage of the KEF, it was able to give a lot more punch.
One can watch a movie...But one cannot feel a movie without a Sub woofer. Polk's the best. I am going to replace my Paradigm with a 12 inch Polk HTS 12.
