06 Telephoto Zoom 15-45mm f/2.8 Lens

This is an amazing lens that does everything you'd want it to. It's light, fast and extremely versatile. The colours are great and the image quality is excellent. Sharp images from f/2.8 and upward.

Great lens. One of the best lenses to get for the pentax q. We went to costa rica and this lens took amazing pictures of the animals and it was so sharp. Also great bokey effect as well. I had a camcorder with me as well, but this lens mades the video quality a huge difference.

This is a really high quality lens. I love taking this attached to my Pentax Q10 for sporting events and concerts where full size SLR's are not allowed. The photos for this review were all taken from the same location about 60 yards from the stage.

I got my 06 lens as part of a 2-lens Q7 kit. My hope was to have something for candid shots and more formal portraits without having to get in people's faces. The tele zoom range of this lens fits the bill very nicely. A Q7 with the 06 lens is not obtrusive in public.

This one is a must for Pentax Q owners, the constant F2.8 is really helpful for getting bokeh/longer zoom photos, especially indoor stage/arena shots where other telephoto lens with DSLR usually get stopped by the guard.

My first copy of this lens was definitely sub-par, but I'm going to ignore that.

I've been shooting Pentax since I was a professional newspaper photographer in the '80s. Pentax's were rugged, easy to use, and featured tack sharp glass in the best lenses, such as my old fav 135 f1.8 ED. This Q 06 Zoom lives up to that tradition.

I am amazed that the overall rating for this lens is not higher. Next to the 01 it is the star of the Q lens line up. Except for the slower focusing of the Q this lens would compete favorably with equivalent DSLR lenses.

  Not much negative, focus ring is annoying but usable.

Nice addition to my other pentax q lens. Next up is the wide lens and maybe one of the toy lens.
