The Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ3 offers a decent amount of zoom for a budget camera, that is small enough to carry in your pocket. It's a cheap option for someone wanting a pocketable travel camera, with picture quality suited to sharing on the web, rather than large prints.
Decent image quality for a budget camera, Creative control mode for unique pictures, Has optical image stabilisation, Good value for money
Lacks a button to give quick access to picture settings such as ISO and white balance, Continuous shooting slower than expected, Inconsistent exposure in panoramas in bright sunlight
Love this camera. Great for pocket or purse. Takes great pics. Easy on the battery. Great battery life compared to some pocket camera. You can not go wrong with Lumix.
All in all, an excellent camera for the price. I mostly purchased it for taking vacation and nature photos (I do a lot of weekend trips and its more fun to frame where I have gone). It met my expectations, I just wish I could figure out the settings.
16.1MP @ 4608x3456 10x zoom Charges usb Packs a punch for a lightweight camera
Only reason I tacked an egg off is that this camera often ends up with blurry photos. I know it is a layer 8 problem and that I just need to get used to the settings, but even in the intelligent mode, it often blurs out and misses detail. A lot of point and shoots are quality ready I feel.
Still going after 3 years. Small camera to fit in a purse
better than my wife's high dollar camera....(but she likes her view finder on hers.) I didn't need that on mine and it works great.
Good but some difficulty in strong sunlight
A very handy camera, and capable of many snaps when carrying a decent size card.Good value for money
Lasted for 18 months then dropped it and now won;t retract. My advice, don't buy with a rectractable lens.
I'm amongst the minority of people that don't (can't) have a camera on my phone. this does the job. small, simple, and effective.
camera is in excellent condition and is working fine!!
Excellent camera with great features. I was attracted by the Leica lens but I'm also blown away by 16.1 MP resolution, the 10x optical zoom, and the panorama shot feature. The easy to use LCD screen works great for me. The camera is designed and the features are organized for ease of use.
